Camps/Groups

Regent Christian Academy has 26 years of experience organizing camps and groups. Since our first group, in 1992, we have offered and continue to offer programs for students interested in improving all aspects of their English, experiencing Canada’s beautiful west coast, and learning Canadian culture and history.

LOCATION
Regent Christian Academy has a campus on 39 acres located in a suburban area of Surrey, British Columbia, as well as a campus in Surrey’s city centre. Both are just a 45 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

CURRICULUM
Our program’s curriculum is designed to provide students with an increasing competence and fluency in their English speaking, listening, pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and critical thinking. You will also gain insight into Canadian culture and history through English lessons and excursions.

WHO
Students from the ages of 11-17 are able to join the winter and summer programs. We will host two classes: (ages 11-14 & 15-17)

PROGRAM
Each week will consist of English classes, sightseeing and/or experiential excursions around Greater Vancouver and Vancouver Island. During the program we will read classical English literature, work on presentations skills, read poetry, perform reader’s theatre. We also discuss environmental topics and learn about Canada’s history. We will offer optional excursions on Saturday’s. During the course of our programs we offer students the choice of taking a TOEFL ITP test. (Specialized English Language Learning (ELL) Teachers - ELL Instruction - Welcome Reception - Homestay program - Canadiana theming - Buddy program with Canadian students - Field trips - Cultural exchange with our Canadian campus - Certificates - Farewell party)

We offer optional English lessons from Monday to - Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM which costs $30.00 a session.

DURATION
Our 6-week winter program runs from January 14th - February 22nd. Our 7-week summer program runs from July 8th - August 26th. We are able to receive students a the beginning of each and any week of the program.

Visa
No student visa is required for our winter and summer programs. Depending on country of origin, students may need a visitor’s visa.

Medical Insurance
Students must provide their own medical insurance, which costs $75/month or $20/week

Accommodations
Typically, we do not provide homestay placement.

Approximate Costs
1 - 4 students ($1045/per student) 5 or more ($945/per student)We invite you to work with our team to create a memorable Canadian experience for your school group or specialized camps. We can accommodate groups from 15 to 100 students throughout the year, and our programs can be modified to suit the needs of your group. We have excellent Canadian teachers for our English Language Learning (ELL) students. They are caring and creative, and always looking at innovative ways to help our students learn English and learn about our country, Canada.
